I just read a book today where I found many good ideas. 77 Ways to Earn Up to $100 Per Day is a compilation of 77 different methods that can be used to build a $100 a day income stream.

Now, these are not “get rich — earn thousands of dollars a minute” schemes. These are 77 basic yet different ways to make $100 per day working from home — if you set your mind to it. With each idea there is just enough information to get your creative juices started, maybe throw in a little research or learn a new skill.

I like that these ideas can be mixed and matched. I found one idea that should bring in about $30 a day, and another that once I set it up is worth another $50 on autopilot. That leaves me with 75 more ideas to choose from for the other $20 per day. And these are not hard-to-implement ideas; a couple of them are appealing to me just because they sound like fun.

This is not a full fledged “HOW TO” book. Rather, it’s a simple report that will start you on your way to earning an extra $100 per day. Of course, you’re not limited to just $100 each day. Your efforts are your only limitation.

Dennis also assures his readers that 77 Ways to Make $100 Per Day is a work in progress. He fully intends to replace some of the 77 ways with newer, fresher, better plans, based on reader feedback of the less popular ones. Be sure to stay on his email list of readers as all updates will be free as well. I know I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

To me, one of the best parts of this report was Dennis’ equation for reaching your goal. His formula:

* You need a Goal
* You need a Plan
* You need Knowledge
* You need to TAKE ACTION!

So now it’s time to get to work on your goal.

77 Ways to Earn Up to $100 Per Day comes with a 100% money-back guaranteed. No questions asked.

Is the report worth $9.95? Well, at 13-cents an idea, I think so. Even if you use only 6 of them, that’s a buck-65 per idea. Not bad at all. Personally, I would have paid double the price for these ideas, but please don’t tell Dennis Becker I said that.

Who is Dennis Becker? He is the 5 Bucks A Day guy. His book “5 Bucks a Day” is a must read for any one interested in making money online. According to Dennis, “5 Bucks a Day is the story of how I finally realized not only my ’200′ goal, but more. It isn’t about a new scheme or skill, so much as it is about a mental approach. 5 Bucks a Day is best described as a strategy. The strategy will cost you nothing. Once you understand the strategy (the same day you read 5 Bucks a Day for the first time), your life might change the same way mine changed when I envisioned this strategy for the first time.”

I originally purchased my copy of 5 Bucks a Day in 2006 and I have read it many times over since then. It helps to keep me focused when I find myself straying from my original course of action for making money online.

Dennis Becker also offers an add-on to his 5 Bucks a Day book with the “Earn1KaDay Insiders Club.”

Making money online isn’t easy, but it’s simple. Now you’ve got 77 Ways to Earn Up to $100 Per Day in your spare time with your computer.

Looking for some ideas to help supplement your income or work for yourself? Here are seven ways to get started.

1. Speak to the Bag Cause the Other Person Ain’t Listening
Know how it feels when you are just so angry you could spit yet there seems to be nowhere to vent that anger? How about a business selling paper bags with creative sayings printed on them. Folks can speak their anger/confessions into these bags, then “pop” them, letting go of all that anger and bad feelings. The bags would be inexpensive to create and easy to sell in bundles. Good idea for eBay, online auction sites, and novelty stores.

2. Have Fun and Make a Profit Teaching!
Do you have a hobby you enjoy and are good at – like knitting, sewing, crocheting, needlepoint, quilting, scrapbooking, gardening, bird watching, whittling? Hold classes to teach people how to do these things. You could teach 2 or 3 classes, two hours per class. Normal charge is about $40-60 per class, depending on the number of hours. You can also supply the necessary materials for the first class (extra charge) or have a list of items needed for the first class available when people sign up. Find either a free room to hold the class or check with a local rec center or school district to see if they offer Continuing Education classes. Have an outline of your class plan ready.

3. Is it Weight Gain or is it Pregnancy?
There is nothing more embarrassing then asking a woman if she’s pregnant when she’s simply gained a few pounds – or vise versa. Newly pregnant women love announcing their pregnancy and what better way then with bold t-shirts announcing “I’m Pregnant!” Be creative with color and design. Good idea for eBay, auction sites, and baby stores.

4. Grabbing Attention with Postcards
When a postcard arrives in the mail, everyone reads it. No opening an envelope, fast attention grabber, and less postage. Your clients pay you to send out specific information to their customers either electronically or via the mail. Appointment reminders, oil changes, checkups (cars, people, kids, pets) – anything that needs a reminder or new information from the sender. And hand addressed cards get better attention than printed ones.

5. Mahjong Jewelry
Mahjong is a game which originated in ancient China. The game uses tiles with characters or pictures on them. Some of the designs can be very exotic. Find used games with missing pieces at garage sales or thrift stores. Take the tiles from these games and turn them into jewelry. Bracelets, earrings, necklaces, ankle bracelets. Charge $10 to $30 or more for each piece, depending on the intricacy of your design or pairing of items for a complete set. Good idea for eBay, online auction sites, and novelty stores.

6. Recreating Memories with Legos
Legos are a major chunk of most childhood memories and are still part of childhood today. Lego sets from years gone by are in much demand. There is a huge market for people looking for the innocence and simplicity of their youth. Spend some time learning about older Lego sets, making a list of these sets. Search yard sales, estate auctions, and thrift stores for these old sets. Clean them up and put them together as sets for resale. These would sell well on eBay and online auction sites.

7. “Green” Cleaning Service
Green is the way to go nowadays and a service that offers to clean with only “green” products (no harsh chemicals, only natural items) would be very attractive to anyone who is environmentally aware. Do a little research to find effective products to use, or create your own. $40-$60 an hour would be a normal charge for these services. Be sure to stress the use of natural cleaning products ONLY. Houses always smell better when the products are natural.

Economy got you down? Been thinking about starting your own business? You’re not alone. Most of us have thought about starting our own business – but most of us never follow through on those thoughts. Some have a fear of not having a regular paycheck coming in. Some don’t think they are smart enough or they are committed enough to follow through with starting a new business. It takes courage to start a something new – and to keep it going. There are literally millions of businesses in the world. Hundreds of thousands go under every year.

Starting a new business can be frustrating – but it can also be one of the most rewarding things you’ve ever done. It’s hard work, but well worth it for those who want to go their own way.

Do you have the right stuff? Begin by asking yourself these questions. But be honest. You’re the only one who knows the right answers.

1. Can you afford to start your own business? Do you have the finances and time time? Or are you simply looking for extra money to supplement your current income?

2. Are you eligible for a loan from a bank? Will you need extra money for start up fees or can you begin with practically nothing?

3. Do you have the right attitude to start your own business? It can be hard work; it can be frustrating; and it can be lonely. Can you handle the bad along with the good?

4. What type of business do you want to start? Want to make money from your hobby? Or do you want to dedicate your life to creating something big, bold, and beautiful?

5. What type of business can you succeed in? Will you be a sole proprietor, working by yourself? Or do you want employees? Do you want to create an online business? Or do you want to be face-to-face with your customers?

6. Can you handle the decision making process as a business owner? You – and only you – make all the decisions.

7. Are you good at multi-tasking? In the beginning, you will need to create your product/idea, market it, fill orders, provide customer service, and do all the bookwork. Some days, it can be hard to wear many hats.

8. Can you handle the stress of being a business owner? Many hats – many pressures – many rewards.

9. If you will be needing employees, do you feel comfortable being someone else’s boss? Not everyone working for you will be as motivated or work as hard as you do.

10. Are you good at dealing with people? Rewarding people is easy, but can you let someone go if they aren’t working out?

11. Are you a self starter? Can you get up every day and keep going even when you feel overwhelmed?

12. Are you organized? Record-keeping is not my forte, but I do it because I have to. All I can say, though, is thank heavens for CPAs. I don’t know what I’d do without mine.

13. Are you a driven enough person? Are you determined to get the job done? Nothing much stands in your way?

14. How will starting your own business affect your family? For awhile at least, you’ll have even less time to spend with them than you do now. How do they feel about that? Can they get involved and help out?

Did you honestly answer yes to these questions? Then you just might be a good candidate to own your own business – to work for yourself. Think about your answers. Then decide if owning your own business is right for you.

There are a lot of reasons to start your own business. Here are just some of MY reasons for going into business with myself:

* I am now my own boss. I don’t answer to someone else’s demands or criticisms (well except for the occasional comments from the husband, and of course, my customers).

* I set my own hours. I love getting out of bed when I wake up, not when the alarm clock goes off. And I love being able to work until 4 AM if I am really excited about a project. I also thoroughly enjoy having lunch with friends whenever I want, not just on weekends. Of course, it also means that some weeks I work 60 to 80 hours, but that’s by choice, not because someone else told me I “had” to.

* After about two years, I’m now earning about as much as I did before I started working for myself. And I see my earnings going up a bit more each month.

* My days at work are exciting and very unpredictable. I work on current projects, then – wham! – I get a new idea and I’m off and running in that direction. Of course, I still have to keep up with my client’s needs, so I am careful to find a balance between old and new. Every day is a new day.

* I am constantly learning new things and meeting new people, sometimes in person, but most of the time online. It’s also very rewarding to finish a project had find I either have a very satisfied customer, or I’m making money with some affiliate marking project. Life is good in the Anderson household.

I now have time for two non-profit service organizations whose websites I not only create and keep updated, but I help them help my local community. I never had time when I was working for someone else because the meetings are during the work day.

These are just a few of the reasons why I own my own business. There are a million other reasons for a million other people. What are your reasons for working for yourself?

If you said Valentine’s Day, you’d be right. Also known as Saint Valentine’s Day, it is a holiday celebrated each year on February 14th. The holiday is named after two Christian martyrs named Valentine. They became associated with romantic love and thus, the Valentine’s Day was born.

Today most people associate Valentine’s Day with the exchange of cards, chocolate, roses, and other symbols of their love. How about some different ways to share your love this Valentine’s Day? Try these.

#1: Write a love note. A real love note. Don’t send an electronic greeting or purchase a card. Take the time to write an actual, traditional love note to someone you care about. Your love note does not need to be long; however, it does need to be handwritten while sharing your thoughts.

#2: Zero writing skills? Instead write a list of the things you find special about your beloved. A simple “I love you because…” list can go a long way to showing how much you care.

#3: Place your love note on your lover’s pillow. Not seeing each other first thing in the morning? Have it delivered to them with flowers, candy, or an unusual gift.

#4: Create a scavenger hunt which your valentine will follow around the house to find their gift. Leave clues in interesting places with one clue leading to the next, and then ultimately to your special gift.

#5: Sing out your thoughts by using a dry erase marker to leave love notes on your beloved’s car window.

#6: If you have several gifts for your lover, start at the front door and run a string from one gift to another. Your lover follows the string to get to their next gift. You can use inexpensive kite string from the dollar store to string your gifts together.

#7: If you are single this Valentine’s Day, spend the evening with a “Valentine’s Day Sucks” party with your other single friends. Everyone brings a romantic comedy movie and their favorite junk food to the event. Make fun of the sappy movies while eating as much junk food as you want, just for one evening.

#8: Or if you do not have a special someone to share with, go to a very expensive restaurant with a favorite friend and order foods you have always wanted to try… including desert. Spend a long evening enjoying the food and company of a good friend.

#9: Don’t want to fight the crowds on Valentine’s Day? Celebrate at home by doing the cooking. Or you can cook a meal together. Cooking at home can be both romantic and a lot more fun than going out and paying for an expensive meal. Light the fire in the fireplace, get out the candles and … gasp… talk!

#10: How about a non-traditional gift? Consider making coupons that can be redeemed for a variety of things throughout the year. You can make them for simple things like washing the car, or for more sensual gifts. Thanks to home computers and cool paper, you can make some really great coupons or gift certificates in the comfort of your own home. Wrap in pretty paper or a decorative box for a one-of-a-kind gift.

#11: Plan a secret date night. Don’t tell your loved one where you’re going, simply give them details on what to wear. Make it a memorable evening that will be cherished for years to come.

#12: Have a romantic dinner in an odd room of the house. Roses are in bloom. Toss some on the table for dinner. Light the candles, listen to some of your old favorites, and slow dance around the house.

#13: Wake up early to make your mate’s favorite breakfast. Then take the time to slowly serve it to them in bed.

#14: Have your sweetheart’s favorite music playing when they come home from work. Then after a luxurious bath, serve a very special dinner in bed.

Well, that’s it, I thought. No more gardening for me. We were moving into a much smaller house with an even smaller yard and there was no room for a garden. Sadly, I would truly miss my favorite pastime.

But then one of my new neighbors showed me her portable raised garden beds. She said that portable raised gardens were becoming quite the popular item with more people moving to smaller places, or looking for a way to grow their own produce in a limited space to save money. Instead of having to till out space in the yard, you simply build a garden bed that is portable, yet can produce as many flowers and veggies as you want. No more bending over, no more dealing with difficult soil problems. Everything was contained inside the tubs in the garden bed which could be moved with the sun if needed.

Plants love to breathe, and with a typical garden, you have rows and rows of plants that are easily stepped on. Besides, bending over or kneeling to dig weeds or tend my little seedlings had been killing my back. (I’m sure you gardeners understand.) By using a raised garden bed, which is designed to be worked from the outside rather than from the inside, there is no fear of tramping down the soil around the plants, or bruising the tender roots.

My neighbor went on to tell me she was actually able to plant more plants then she had in her old-fashioned garden, since there was no need to have everything in rows. She said she had to be careful about overplanting, though. The first year, all her plants grew much larger than her old-fashioned garden and she almost ran out of room with all her veggies because she had overplanted with the extra space.

As I watched my neighbor in her garden, I realized a huge benefit to using a raised bed for a summer garden is better drainage. If you live in an area with lots of summer rain, raised beds allow your garden to dry out between waterings, instead of sitting in excess water for hours or days on end. For areas dealing with a water shortage, a raised garden can save water because the water doesn’t run off; it stays inside the planting tubs.

Looking at my neighbor’s gardens, I thought — did I want a garden bed that was portable, raised to my own comfortable gardening height, required no more bending over to plant, weed, look for pests, and the soil stays warmer and more productive for a longer period of time? You bet. I bid my neighbor “Happy Gardening,” and I was off to find plans for my own portable raised garden bed.

The first time I tried to begin a garden is one I don’t think I’ll ever forget. What a disaster! I just knew I’d never try to garden again.

I had just moved into my first house. There would be grass to mow, bushes to trim, and flowers blooming everywhere. I could just picture it in my mind. I had lived in apartments and never had been responsible for anything outside my balcony. Before getting involved with the inside renovations, I thought I’d plant a garden for some fresh produce and to put the yard to good use. Even though I new nothing about gardening, I figured, “Hey, how hard can it be?” Silly me!

There was a grassless patch in the back of the yard left by the previous owner, but it was full of rocks and weeks, nothing that looked like a plant. I spend a couple of days trying to clear the area, getting rid of everything but dirt. At that time, I had no idea there was a difference between “dirt” and “soil.” My patch of land was barren, hard and unforgiving … with no nutrition in the soil.

I tried setting up the garden once it was cleared. I used some old boards I found in the garage for a border. A pile of rocks I had been collecting was used for some decoration. Not sure why I thought this was a good idea.

I could hardly wait to get started so I hit the garden store. Seeing all those seed packets was like finding hidden treasure. What was I going to grow? Corn? Yum. Peppers? Oh yeah. Tomotoes? Come to mama! My mouth was watering.

Once home with my treasures, I punched a hole in the rock-hard ground and dropped in a seed. I watered my garden everyday, but nothing happened. Nothing was growing. Where was my corn? My peppers? My tomotes? Where was my goodies? I continued to have faith and watered the garden. But eventually I realized that my garden was not meant to be.

Discouraged, I turned to my trusty computer to find the answer. After all, that’s what the Internet is for … finding solutions to questions. I quickly found a site where I learned about soil consistency, nutrients, correct watering methods, seasons, and all the things I needed to growing a healthy garden. I created a plan and was ready for the next planting season. Now you should see how my garden grows.

If you are longing to start a garden, learn from my mistakes. Do research on your soil, plants, and climate. Good soil, fertilizer, and garden tools are the keys to a good garden. The right information makes all the difference. Hopefully you won’t have to go through all the upsets I did.
